Unfortunately
after a week of warm and at times hot weather, finals
day was nearly a wash out. Knowing the weather forecast
was not looking good for the final Saturday it was
decided to play as many finals on the Friday. It was a
good decision because on Saturday at around 1.15pm the
heavens opened, thunder, lightning and heavy rain. It
was decided to make a decision at 2.30pm, by then it had
stopped raining and another decision was to be made at
4pm. In the meantime it was decided to do the
presentations for completed matches. So below is a
selection of winners and runners up (if a player appears
more than once it means they won more than one event).
At 4pm it was then decided to make a final decision at
4.45pm, play started at 5pm. I came home at this stage
to start sorting out the photos.
The results will be on the website later, possibly not
until Sunday.
I hope you have
enjoyed the photos over the last 10 tournaments. For
those of you who were not at the presentation, it was
announced that I have decided to retire from doing the
website.
