On a cold frosty night the league matches started up again after the Christmas break and again some enjoyable matches and playing the Challenge Format of six singles and three doubles.
On table one Coastal Crusader had an impressive 7-2 win over Hunnys Heroes who had two super subs helping out. Jeff Chung was in great form with a New Year Maximum and it was 2 wins each for Phil Ball and Richard Loades Wiffon. For the Heroes SS Mick Forth and SS Tim Atkinson had wins over Richard.
On table two a 6-3 win for league leaders The Inlaws over Counter Hitters. It was Super Sub Leigh McDonald setting the pace with a great maximum while Stephen Jackson and Jim Race both added 1.5 points each.
On table three another 6-3 score when Adrian's Allstars beat The Terriers. No maximums in this match. For the Allstars Mick Minns 2.5, Mike Nobes 2 and Charley Hammond 1.5 points. For The Terriers 1.5 points each for Stephen Hunt and Janice Howell.
