Last night it was back to the challenge format and some more great matches. It was big wins for Coastal Crusaders and Counter Hitters as both teams extend their grip on the league so is it going to be just a two horse race for the league title? Top spot goes to Coastal Crusaders on 43 points with Counter Hitters second on 41 points then, a gap of 6 points, it is The Terriers on 35 points.
On table one Coastal Crusaders had an impressive 8-1 win over Hunnys Heroes with only Alfie Yarrow managing a point for the Heroes with a win over the Crusaders Melissa McDonald. Melissa went on to add two points while both Leigh McDonald and Bob Richardson went unbeaten in all their singles and doubles games.
On table two Counter Hitters had Paul Waterman keeping a clean sheet in their 7-2 win over The Inlaws. Paul had good support from Ian Rix and Tony Trayford who both added 2 points. For The Inlaws a point apiece for Stephen Jackson and Jim Race. There were three five enders in this epic match and two four enders.
On table three it was The Terriers who edged home 5-4 against Adrian's Allstars. Graham Keeley went unbeaten on the night. Janice Howell added a further 1.5 points and Eileen Needham added the final 0.5 point. For the Allstars it was Trevor Mason and Charley Hammond who had 1.5 points each and Mick Minns added the final 1 point.
