TABLE TENNIS NEWS
HEACHAM INTERNAL TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE
RESULTS/TABLES/REPORTS
WEEK
8...MONDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2023
It was the Challenge format last
night in the league and last years
champions start to make a move up
the table with a big win.
So on table one it was last years
champions who are now making a move
after a slow start. With Mick Forth
back in action, his unbeaten display
and the same for Kevin Saunders plus
a good performance from Ollie Loades
who added 2 points they came away
with a big 8-1 win over Adrian's
Allstars. This moves the Knights up
into third place and the Allstars
drop down to bottom place.
On table two a much closer result
when The Inlaws edged home 5-4
against Counter Hitters. No player
could keep a clean sheet with the
Hitters Paul Waterman top scoring
with 2.5 points his support came
from Tony Trayford with 1.5 points.
For the Inlaws Ron Kendal came away
with 2 points while Stephen Jackson
and Jim Race both added 1.5 points.
On table three another close match
when league leaders The Terriers
edged home 5-4 against Coastal
Crusaders. A good all round team
performance from the Terriers led by
Benji Richardson 2.5 points, well
assisted by Janice Howell 1.5 points
and Eileen Needham 1 point. For the
Crusaders it was Leigh McDonald and
Bob Richardson who had 1.5 points
each while Phil Ball added the final
1 point.
The Terriers still top the table
with The Inlaws still in second
place.
Next week back to Normal format. |
