WEEK 1...MONDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2021

After a long time of no league table tennis due to Covid restrictions it was great to see all the hard work by Jim and Stephen finally come together on Monday 4th November 2021. Previous to the league starting there has been regular Monday evening knock nights throughout the Summer all done under Government guidelines to keep everyone safe.
During  the Summer we received two top of the range rollaway tables thanks to Heacham Youth and Community Trust. On top of this the table tennis club gave a donation to the Social Club of 200 to improve the hall lighting. We now boast a table tennis venue second to none and possibly the best venue in the area. On the subject of venues I would like to congratulate Wisbech Table Tennis Club for putting in a lot of hard work to convert an old storage building to make it their new home venue after their original home venue was taken away from them. For the full story and photos go to https://wisbech.ttleagues.com
Now, every Monday evening there is a knock hour from 6pm to 7pm for any Heacham Table Tennis club member who is not playing in the evening league match that evening. This is followed by three league matches  starting at 7.15pm.
There are six teams as in previous seasons before Covid, the format will alternate between Normal (9 singles) and Challenge (6 singles and 3 doubles). Each team will play each other twice in each format, with a week break over Christmas and the season finishing up with a hardbat and handicap competition. Each team has four players to pick from and there are also, as in previous seasons, some Super Subs to help out if necessary.
