TABLE TENNIS NEWS
HEACHAM INTERNAL TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE
RESULTS/TABLES/REPORTS
WEEK
20...MONDAY 10TH MARCH 2025
Last night it was the challenge format.
On table one The Terriers edged home 5-4
against Hunnys Heroes. Alfie Yarrow was
in great form for the Heroes winning
both his singles and finished up with
2.5 points while Kerry Smith added the
other 1.5 points. It was an all round
team performance from The Terriers with
Eileen Needham leading the way with 2
points including a hard fought five end
win over Mark Lees. Graham Keeley and
Janice Howell both added 1.5 points.
On table two Adrian's Allstars, after a
good run, could not get on terms with
Heacham Knights and they went down 8-1.
Mike Nobes was the only person to get on
the scorecard for the Allstars with a
singles win over Sam Pishorn. For the
Knights it was Mick Forth and Kevin
Saunders both in maximum mood and Sam
added the final 2 points.
On table three it was the top of the
table crunch match which could have
decided who will be crowned champions.
League leaders Counter Hitters increased
their lead to 11 points after beating
Coastal Crusaders 6-3. Once again Finlay
Hewson led the way winning both his
singles and finishing up with 2.5
points. He had good support from Paul
Waterman 2 points and Tony Trafford 1.5
points. For the Crusaders Leigh McDonald
1.5 points, Bob Richardson 1 point and
Phil Ball added 0.5 point.
So does this mean the top three places
now will also be the final placings?
Counter Hitters 101 points, Coastal
Crusaders 90 points and Heacham Knights
84 points.
Next week back to the normal format.
Don' forget there is knock hour every
Monday from 6 to 7pm before the league
starts and also the friendly Monday
morning session from 9.15 to 11.15am in
the top room |
