15...MONDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2025
It was the normal league format last
night in the league so matches of 9
singles.
On table one it was a 6-3 win for second
place Coastal Crusaders over Hunnys
Heroes. First game saw an exciting five
ender with the Heroes Alfie Yarrow
edging out the Crusaders Leigh McDonald
14-12 in the fifth end. Alfie went on to
get 2 points while team mate Kerry Smith
added 1 point with a win over Phil Ball
11-8 in the fifth end. It was super sub
Mick Forth who stood in at the last
minute who was player of the night with
a great maximum. His support came from
Leigh with 2 wins and Phil Ball 1 point
with a win over Mark Lees.
On table two it was league leaders
Counter Hitters still in great form as
they beat The Inlaws 6-3 and it was
maximums for both Finlay Hewson and Paul
Waterman for the Hitters 6 points. The
Inlaws trio of Stephen Jackson, Paul
Barrett and Jeff Race all had a win over
Tim Atkinson.
On table three it was a close match to
the very end when The Terriers edged
home 5-4 against Adrian's Allstars.
Graham Keeley was star player for The
Terriers with a fine maximum. Stephen
Hunt added the other 2 points. Mick
Minns for the Allstars added 2 points
while Trevor Mason and Mike Nobes added
a point each with a win over Eileen
Needham. No change in the league table
and next week it is back to the
challenge format.
Don' forget there is knock hour every
Monday from 6 to 7pm before the league
starts and also the friendly Monday
morning session from 9.15 to 11.15am in
the top room. |
