What an exciting climax to the season with just one point between the top three teams. Early leaders The Inlaws have stayed in contention throughout the season and are in third place at the moment. A win next week will decide if they finish up in second or third spot the way I see it. They have a tough match against the Coastal Crusaders and need to win to possibly finish in second spot depending then on games won and lost. Graham's Allstars who have been at the top for the last few weeks but lost this week to the Inlaws 6-3 and so drop down to second spot on same points as new leaders Hunnys Heroes who have a much better games won. So an exciting Monday next week as Hunnys Heroes are up against Graham's Allstars you could not have asked for a better climax to the season. It all depends what players are available on both sides for this vital clash. On paper if the Heroes 'Yarrow Boys' are all available they will be favourites. If Graham's Allstars have Graham, Janice and Eileen on board they certainly will not give up without a fight. It is the Challenge Format so with doubles and singles anything can happen.
Because of Covid and health issues I unfortunately have not for safety sake been down to watch any matches but I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Jim and Stephen for taking over from me and doing a great job and keeping me informed each week so I could update the website.
I am told after next weeks final league matches there will be three more Monday evenings to complete a great season with a singles tournament, a handicap singles tournament and finally the ever popular Hard Bat tournament to finish off with.
