WEEK 10...MONDAY  4TH DECEMBER 2023

Another great night of table tennis last night in the Public Hall.
On table one it was league leaders The Terriers up against second place  Heacham Knights and last years champions. The Terriers were in top form with Benji Richardson going unbeaten and Janice Howell adding a further 2.5 points while Eileen Needham added 0.5 point to secure a 6-3 win. Both Benji and Janice had hard fought wins over Mick Forth, with Benji winning 11-9 in the fifth end and Janice winning 13-11 in the fifth end. There were five 5 enders with The Terriers winning four of them. The Knights points came from Kevin Saunders and Ollie Loades with 1.5 points each. The Terriers are now 12 points clear of The Knights who are still in second place.
On table two a big 8-1 win for Coastal Crusaders over The Inlaws. Jim Race got the 1 point for The Inlaws with a singles win over Phil Ball. For the Crusaders Leigh McDonald and Bob Richardson both went unbeaten while Phil Ball had his best result adding 2 points.
On table three another big win, this time it was Counter Hitters who were in top form beating Adrian's Allstars 7-2. Paul Waterman went unbeaten with 3 points, Ian Rix added 2.5 points and Tony Trayford added the final 1.5 points. For the Allstars Charley Hammond top scored with 1.5 points while Jim Duncan chipped in with 0.5 points.
The league table is all still very close except for The Terriers who are going to be hard for any team to catch.
Next week back to normal format.
