What a great night of table tennis last
night in the hall. Some of the closest
games we have seen all season with 13
five enders in the three matches, an all
time record. Just shows how well
balanced the teams are with any team
able to win on the night.
On table one it was a 6-3 win for league
leaders Coastal Crusaders against
Adrian's Allstars. The match had 4 four
enders and 2 five enders. No player
could keep a clean sheet and for the
Crusaders it was 2 points each for
Melissa McDonald, Bob Richardson and
Phil Ball. Mick Minns top scored for the
Allstars with 2 points while Mike Nobes
chipped in with the final point.
On table two it was a 5-4 win for
Heacham Knights over The Terriers and in
this match there were 5 five enders and
1 four ender. Once again no player could
keep a clean sheet. For the Knights
Kevin Saunders came away with 2 points
while Ollie Loades and Sam Pishorn
equally shared the other 3 points.
Graham Keeley scored 2 points for The
Terriers, Janice Howell 1.5 points and
Eileen Needham 0.5 point.
On table three there was an unbelievable
close match between The Inlaws and
Hunnys Heroes with 6 five enders and 2
four enders plus obviously a late
finish. It was a 6-3 win for The Inlaws
but looking at the scores it was a great
match that could have gone either way.
We did have a player who managed to keep
a clean sheet and that was Jim Race with
3 points his support came from Stephen
Jackson and Paul Barrett who both had
1.5 points. For The Heroes it was Alfie
Yarrow who had 2.5 points while dad Rob
added 0.5 point.
There have been some great matches over
the years but surely this was a night to
remember and well done to everyone.
Next week we are back to the normal
format and don't forget there is knock
night from 6 to 7pm before the league
matches start at 7.15pm every Monday. |
